Facades & feature walls

Flexible Stone Veneer (MCM) in Scottsdale

Flexible stone veneer for accent walls, fireplaces and exterior facade refreshes. Large-format, and it bends where a slab cannot.

Home › MCM Flexible Stone

Stone that bends.

MCM is a flexible stone veneer: large-format and bendable, in travertine, concrete, slate, charred wood, rammed earth and metal finishes, plus sculptural relief panels, for feature walls and facades. It is light enough to go over surfaces that will not carry real stone, and it bends around a column or a curved wall where a slab cannot.

Inside, it makes an accent wall out of a flat drywall plane, the thing the room is organized around. Outside, it changes the read of a facade without rebuilding it.

  • Interior feature walls, fireplace surrounds, columns and curved surfaces
  • Exterior facade refreshes over existing substrate
  • Travertine, concrete, slate, charred wood, rammed earth and metal finishes
  • Sculptural relief panels in inorganic foamed ceramic, rated Class A for fire

It earns its place the same way microcement does. Texture and mass without pattern, so a wall can carry weight in a room without competing with the light coming into it.

Accent walls run $28 to $40 per square foot installed, exterior facades $24 to $34. See the pricing page.

Finishes

Seven families

Panels bend to a column or a curve and go over substrates that will not carry stone. The finish is the whole decision.

Travertine

Cut and vein-matched across panels, without the weight or the substrate work.

Concrete

Board-formed and smooth-cast reads, over drywall that would never carry the real thing.

Charred wood

Charred-timber texture for feature walls and shaded exterior elevations.

Rammed earth

Stratified earth bands, which is the one finish that looks native here.

Slate

Riven slate face at panel scale, for elevations that want weight without stone.

Metal

Oxidized and brushed metal faces for fireplace surrounds and entry walls.

Relief

Foamed-ceramic panels where the wall itself is the pattern. Class A fire rated.

Swatches are drawn illustrations of each finish family. Physical panels come to the Measure & Spec visit.

Questions we get

Before you call

Where does MCM work best?

Interior feature walls, fireplace surrounds, columns and curved surfaces, and exterior facade refreshes over an existing substrate. It bends where a stone slab cannot.

What finishes are available?

Travertine, concrete, slate, charred wood, rammed earth and metal, plus sculptural relief panels.

Is it rated for exterior use?

Yes, for facade applications. The relief panels are inorganic foamed ceramic and carry a Class A fire rating. Fire and adhesive data for the stone veneer comes with the specification for your project.

Do you have facade photography?

Not on this page yet. The work shown here is interior, at Naumann. We bring exterior panels to the Measure & Spec visit so you can see the finish in daylight, against your own house, before you commit.
